Outdoor Advertising Services

NJDOT OAS administers permits for outdoor advertising signs along all roads and highways in the state of New Jersey.

  • Permits are required for signs that advertise a business or activity that is not conducted on the same property on which the sign is located (off premise).
  • Licenses are required for engaging in the business of outdoor advertising and advertising something other than business or activity of the permit holder.
