Supporting Local Public Agencies

We aim to support local public agencies in advancing focused investments to produce successful projects that enhance New Jersey’s local transportation infrastructure. This commitment will strive to create a seamless transportation system where we work, live and play to improve the quality of life for New Jersey’s residents and the traveling public.

NJDOT Local Aid & Economic Development supports New Jersey’s local transportation infrastructure in 21 counties and 564 municipalities. Our team’s goal is to assist each community with project planning, grant applications, project delivery, guidance through the federal process, and much more. Information is accessible through our website, social media, and telephone hotline. A flyer is also available in English and in Spanish/Español.
