State Airport System Plan

The New Jersey SASP is a comprehensive study of New Jersey’s airport system. The plan aims to ensure the airport system meets the states air transportation needs. The latest SASP completed in 2022, focuses on traditional aviation system planning elements and strategic goals. The plan evaluates New Jersey’s airport system facilities to accommodate future demand and presents a development and funding plan to improve facilities over a 20-year horizon.

NJDOT periodically reviews and updates the New Jersey State Airport System Plan (NJSASP). Revisions include conducting economic impact studies to provide accurate data for business decisions.
Pavement Management

Airport Pavement Management (PCI)

The Bureau conducts pavement condition studies at thirty airports to assess functional pavement conditions, enabling informed decisions regarding maintenance. This study helps NJDOT and the FAA monitor pavement infrastructure conditions and plan for capital investment.

This Dashboard has been developed to provide a central location to store and display related data and inspection results on pavement conditions of 30 Airports. It contains the general location of Airports, and Pavement Condition scores by section with accompanying photos. This application makes the pavement condition data readily accessible and enables decision makers the ability to gather data quickly and efficiently to assist in their project planning decisions.
